About Siraya People

The Siraya are the people the Dutch met first when they built Fort Zeelandia on the Tainan coast in 1624, and for most of the next four centuries outsiders assumed they had melted into the Chinese population. They had not, quite. They are a Plains indigenous group of southwestern Taiwan, one of the peoples known collectively as Pingpu, and their heartland is the flat, hot Chianan Plain around Tainan, where the four big villages in Dutch ledgers, Sinckan, Soulang, Mattau and Bakloan, are now the districts of Xinshi, Jiali, Madou and Shanhua. As Chinese settlers took the paddy land, some Siraya moved into the hills toward Yujing, and in the nineteenth century others crossed the mountains to the east coast, so Siraya descendants also live around Fuli in Hualien and in Taitung.

Their language is Austronesian, one of the Formosan languages that make Taiwan the likely starting point for the family that stretches from Madagascar to Easter Island. It had fallen silent as an everyday tongue by the early twentieth century, but Dutch missionaries had taught the Siraya to write it in Roman letters, and villagers kept using that script for land contracts long after the Dutch were expelled in 1662. Those contracts, the Sinckan Manuscripts, plus a 1661 translation of the Gospel of Matthew, are the raw material a small group of activists has used since the 2000s to rebuild the language and get it into a handful of Tainan primary schools.

Seventeenth-century Dutch writers were startled by Siraya society: women farmed and ran the religion, priestesses called inibs presided over spirit rites, husbands lived apart in men's houses and visited their wives at night, and villages were run by councils of elders rather than chiefs. What survives of that world is the worship of Alid, the ancestral spirit, kept in a village shrine called a kuva as water-filled pots rather than images. In Jibeishua and Toushe the annual Night Festival still brings pig offerings, female mediums, and lines of women in white singing and stepping in a slow circle, everyone crowned with garlands of Eupatorium leaves. In daily life most Siraya practice the same folk religion, Buddhism or Christianity as their neighbors, and the kuva is where the older identity concentrates.

Legally they have spent decades in limbo. Taiwan's national indigenous status excludes the Plains peoples, so Tainan granted the Siraya local recognition in 2005, and in 2022 the Constitutional Court ruled the exclusion unconstitutional and ordered the law changed. Recognition matters beyond the registered families, because a large share of southern Taiwanese who consider themselves Han have Siraya grandmothers somewhere in the line.

Typical Siraya Phenotypes

Reference for AI generation — hair, eyes, skin, facial structure, build

Seventeenth-century Dutch observers described Siraya men as tall and sturdily built with brown skin. After centuries of intermarriage, Siraya today are generally indistinguishable in appearance from the wider Taiwanese population, and everyday dress is modern Taiwanese. At kuva rituals and the Night Festival, participants wear garlands of Eupatorium leaves, and the women who sing the ceremonial circle songs dress in white.

Siraya Body & Anatomy Reference

Per-feature anatomical profile for AI nude generation — East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype

Siraya Boobs & Breasts

Siraya tits and boobs run small-to-medium cup, modest projection — the classic East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid bust profile. Siraya nipples and areolas show light-pink to medium-brown areolar pigmentation against the light-to-medium skin tone, with areolar diameter typically in the 26-36mm range and forward-set positioning rather than the the fuller South Asian or Levantine bust profile. Siraya breasts trend firm and modestly projecting; smaller cup size than the South Asian or Western Asian average, a function of the ectomorph-to-mesomorph, lean frame body habitus and the mean adult female BMI 20-23. For anatomically-accurate AI-generated Siraya nudes the render preserves: small-to-medium cup, modest projection shape, 26-36mm areolas with light-pink to medium-brown pigmentation, and the torso proportions of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype.

Siraya Ass & Hips

Siraya ass and hip morphology presents as small-to-medium, modest projection, narrower hip profile — distinctly different from the fuller projected glutes of the West African or Polynesian phenotype. The Siraya pelvic profile shows narrower iliac crests, less gluteal-femoral fat deposition, anchored in the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid skeletal pattern. Siraya butt shots in adult AI imagery should render the small-to-medium, modest projection, narrower hip profile silhouette with the ectomorph-to-mesomorph, lean frame build and the gluteal-femoral fat distribution typical of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype rather than defaulting to a globally-averaged "ethnic" butt that generic AI generators produce. The hip-to-waist ratio characteristic of Siraya women is one of the identifying features of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid regional phenotype.

Siraya Vagina & Pussy

Siraya pussy and vulvar anatomy presents light-pink to medium-brown labial pigmentation, smaller labia minora — consistent with the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype's pigmentation pattern. Siraya pubic hair is typically straight fine texture, sparser distribution than the South Asian norm, distributed in the inverted-triangle pattern with regional-typical density. AI-generated Siraya nude imagery should preserve the light-pink to medium-brown labial pigmentation and the straight fine texture hair texture rather than defaulting to a Western-European pink-and-sparse template. For anatomically-accurate Siraya pussy renders the labial pigmentation and coloration should match the surrounding light to medium skin tone of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype, with continuous gradient rather than an abrupt color transition.

Siraya Dicks & Penis

Siraya dick and penile anatomy in adult AI generation should anchor on the regional reference data: regional mean ~11-12cm erect, moderate girth, and light-brown shaft pigmentation. The Siraya cock profile reflects the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid ancestral population's anthropometric measurements rather than a globally-averaged Western-pornography default. For anatomically-accurate Siraya nude male imagery the shaft pigmentation should track the surrounding light to medium skin tone, the glans-to-shaft pigmentation transition should be continuous, and the pubic hair pattern should match straight fine texture texture distributed in the typical inverted-V escutcheon. Circumcision status in Siraya populations varies by religious-cultural tradition rather than ancestral phenotype.

Siraya Body, Curves & Build

Siraya body type and overall build presents as ectomorph-to-mesomorph, lean frame, with mean adult female BMI 20-23 — the characteristic East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid habitus. Siraya curves and proportions in adult AI imagery should preserve the regional skeletal frame (height, shoulder-to-hip ratio, limb proportions) rather than scaling to a Western-European mesomorph default. The Siraya nude female form, when rendered with anatomical fidelity, shows the height range, frame width, and adipose distribution pattern typical of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype. Generic AI image generators tend to collapse regional body types into a few default shapes; the EthnicErotic phenotype-anchored approach preserves the Siraya build as its own reference category.

Siraya Skin Tone & Hair Texture

Siraya skin tone falls in the light to medium (Fitzpatrick II-IV) band — the surface signal most often miscalibrated by generic AI nude generators trained on Western-photographic datasets. Siraya hair texture is typically straight 1A, fine-to-medium, predominantly black, characteristic of the East Asian Sinitic / Mongoloid phenotype. For anatomically-accurate Siraya nude renders the skin should hold the Fitzpatrick band consistently across body surface rather than showing the lighter-than-face body shading that AI generators default to. Siraya hair pigmentation and texture on body, pubic, and head should match across the figure rather than mixing textures (a common AI artefact).
