About Haisla People
The Haisla speak the northernmost Wakashan language, which puts them on a language border of the British Columbia coast. Their home is the head of Douglas Channel, where Kitamaat Village sits a few miles down the inlet from the industrial town of Kitimat. To the north and west live Tsimshian-speaking peoples whose languages are unrelated to Haisla. To the south are the Heiltsuk, whose language is a close relative. The name Haisla is usually translated as "dwellers at the river mouth." The older outside name, Kitamaat, came from their Tsimshian neighbors and is often said to mean "people of the snow."
Today's Haisla Nation brings together two peoples. The Kitamaat held the Kitimat River estuary and the waters around it. The Kitlope, or Henaaksiala, held Gardner Canal and the Kitlope valley and spoke their own dialect. During the twentieth century the Kitlope people moved to Kitamaat Village and the two bands merged. Social life runs through matrilineal clans with crests such as Eagle, Raven, Beaver and Blackfish, the killer whale, a system the Haisla share with their Tsimshian neighbors. Chiefs' names are passed down at the feast, where guests are paid to witness names, rights and territories changing hands. Most Haisla are Christian, the legacy of a Methodist mission founded in the late nineteenth century, but the feast is still where a person's standing becomes public.
Recent Haisla history turns on who controls the land and what gets taken from it. In 1929 a totem pole raised for Chief G'psgolox was removed from the Kitlope and sent to a museum in Stockholm. After a long campaign, Sweden returned it in 2006. During the same years the Haisla fought to keep logging out of the Kitlope, one of the largest intact temperate rainforest watersheds in the world, and saw it protected in the 1990s. Industry has been harder to deal with. An aluminum smelter, pulp milling and shipping reshaped the upper channel. Eulachon, the small oily fish rendered into prized grease, have largely vanished from the Kitimat River, a loss the Haisla link to pollution. The nation opposed the Northern Gateway oil pipeline, then chose to back liquefied natural gas, and is majority owner of the Cedar LNG export project. Only a small number of elders still speak Haisla fluently, and language programs are working against that clock. The novelist Eden Robinson, who is Haisla and Heiltsuk, set Monkey Beach in Kitamaat Village.

Haisla Body & Anatomy Reference
Anatomy by feature, Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian phenotype
Haisla Boobs & Breasts
Haisla boobs follow the Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian profile: medium cup, moderate projection. Areolar diameter is usually 30-44mm, and the coloring is medium-brown areolar pigmentation against the copper-to-medium-brown skin tone. Breast shape tracks body composition (mesomorph, broader frame in northern Indigenous populations, mean adult female BMI 25-28), so Haisla breasts tend to be full and moderate projection. Expect a forward-set shape, not the smaller East Asian bust.
Haisla Ass & Hips
Haisla ass and hip morphology presents as medium, moderate-to-full projection, distinctly different from the slim East Asian narrow-hip profile. The Haisla pelvic profile shows medium iliac crests, anchored in the Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian skeletal pattern. Haisla butt shots in adult AI imagery should render the medium, moderate-to-full projection silhouette with the overall build (mesomorph, broader frame in northern Indigenous populations) and the fat distribution typical of the Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian phenotype.
Haisla Vagina & Pussy
Haisla pussy anatomy typically shows medium-brown labial pigmentation. Pubic hair is usually straight medium-coarse texture. In AI-generated Haisla nudes, labial color should blend into the copper to medium-brown skin with a gradual transition, and the hair should keep its straight medium-coarse texture.
Haisla Dicks & Penis
Penis reference for Haisla men: regional mean ~13cm erect, moderate girth. Coloring: medium-brown shaft pigmentation. An accurate Haisla cock in AI imagery matches the surrounding copper to medium-brown skin rather than a generic porn default. Circumcision depends on religion and custom, not ancestry.
Haisla Body, Curves & Build
The Haisla figure is generally mesomorph, broader frame in northern Indigenous populations, with mean adult female BMI 25-28, characteristic of Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian ancestry. AI image tools tend to flatten regional body types into a few stock shapes; here the Haisla build is kept as its own reference.
Haisla Skin Tone & Hair Texture
Skin: copper to medium-brown (Fitzpatrick III-V). Hair: straight 1A, dark-brown to black, often thick and dense. Both are typical of Indigenous Northern American / Algonquian-Iroquoian ancestry. The most common mistake in AI nudes of Haisla women is a body rendered lighter than the face.
