Pose Catalog

Action & camera catalog

A position says who is where. An action says what changes over the next few seconds. In an image-to-video pipeline the position is already fixed by the conditioning frame, so beat and camera are the only vocabulary left to choose.

A named position fixes who is where. This layer fixes what changes over time: the action beat being performed, its tempo, the camera's own movement, how the clip loops, and whether body contact survives the motion. It exists as a separate layer because generated adult media moved from stills to image-to-video, and in that pipeline the position is already carried by the conditioning frame.

Why the wording looks clinical. Video models respond to physical description of motion, what moves, in which direction, at what rate, and degrade on literary or euphemistic phrasing. Every beat and camera move below carries a mechanical gloss written to be pasted straight into a prompt. Tempo, loop type and contact continuity are structural axes and carry no gloss.

Before contact 3

Approach and undress. Nothing is touching yet.

Contact 2

Touch without penetration.

Transition 2

Moving into, or between, positions. The hardest case for a video model to hold.

Sustained 10

The repeating motion that fills most of a clip. Tempo matters most here.

Resolution 2

Reaction and aftermath.

Held 3

The pose is kept. Only breath, hair and fabric move. What video models do best.

Camera moves 14

Movement of the camera itself, independent of what the subjects are doing. Any beat can be shot with any of these, which is exactly what a bundled preset cannot offer.

  • Locked off

    static_locked

Tripod-static; the frame does not move.

camera is locked on a tripod and does not move

  • Handheld drift

    handheld_drift

Small unmotivated movement from a hand-held rig.

camera drifts slightly, small unsteady handheld movement

  • Push in

    push_in

    Camera advances toward the subject.

camera moves steadily toward the subject, framing tightening

  • Pull out

    pull_out

    Camera retreats from the subject.

camera moves steadily away from the subject, framing widening

  • Orbit (360)

    orbit_full

Camera circles the subject through a full revolution.

camera circles all the way around the subject at a constant radius

  • Arc (partial)

    arc_partial

Camera travels along part of a circular path around the subject.

camera travels sideways along a curved path around the subject

  • Crane up

    crane_up

    Camera rises vertically.

camera rises vertically while staying pointed at the subject

  • Crane down

    crane_down

    Camera descends vertically.

camera lowers vertically while staying pointed at the subject

  • Overhead descend

    overhead_descend

Camera lowers from a top-down position.

camera looks straight down and descends toward the subject

  • Pan / follow

    pan_follow

Camera rotates to keep a moving subject framed.

camera rotates horizontally to keep the subject centred

  • Tilt reveal

    tilt_reveal

Camera rotates vertically to reveal the subject progressively.

camera tilts upward, revealing the body from the feet to the head

  • POV (head-mounted)

    pov_handheld

Camera occupies a participant's viewpoint and moves with their body.

camera is at eye level of one participant and moves with their body, first person view

  • Rack focus

    rack_focus

Focal plane shifts between subjects; camera body static.

camera stays still, focus shifts from the foreground to the background

  • Freeze orbit (bullet time)

    freeze_orbit

Subject motion stops while the camera continues to travel.

subject motion freezes in place while the camera continues to move around them

Tempo

The frequency figure is an authoring aid for video prompts, not a measurement.

  • Still

    No repeating motion.

  • Slow~0.5 Hz

    Deliberate, unhurried repetition.

  • Moderate~1.5 Hz

    Steady, sustainable repetition.

  • Fast~3 Hz

    Rapid repetition.

  • Frantic~5 Hz

Maximum-rate repetition, often with irregular timing.

  • Variable

Tempo changes within the beat (building or slowing).

Loop type

  • One shot

Plays once; start and end states differ.

  • Seamless loop

Last frame matches the first; repeats without a visible cut.

  • Ping-pong

Plays forward then reverses. Suits symmetric reciprocating beats.

  • Beat chain

One segment of a multi-clip sequence; the end state is the next clip's conditioning frame.

Contact continuity

Whether contact persists through the beat. A quality-control axis: loss of contact geometry across frames is the dominant failure mode on multi-figure scenes.

  • Not applicable

    Solo beat; no inter-participant contact.

  • Maintained

Contact persists for the whole beat. Easiest case for a video model to hold.

  • Intermittent

Contact breaks and re-forms cyclically. Highest risk of geometry drift.

  • Breaking

Contact is established or lost once during the beat.
