Common camera framing
Description: Both partners lie on their backs facing away from each other with the legs scissored at the hips, so from above the pair form a clean X with the heads at opposite corners. Neither partner supports the other and the movement comes entirely from the hips.
Variations: The crossing angle can be opened or closed, and either partner can prop up on the elbows to see the other.
On camera: A purely overhead position. From the side it is unreadable, and that limitation is why it appears far more in diagrams than in video.
AI design considerations: Two supine figures with heads at opposite ends and legs interleaved at the pelvis. The X should be obvious from above, which means the torsos need a wide angle between them, not a narrow one.
