Both banks and islands of the Nile around the Third Cataract in Northern State, Sudan, from Tombos north past Kajbar and Delgo; an older Arabic-speaking branch lives around Khartoum, notably Tuti Island, Burri and Aylafun.
Nobiin, also called Mahas-Fadicca (Nubian branch of Nilo-Saharan), alongside Sudanese Arabic (Semitic, Afroasiatic); the Khartoum-area Mahas speak Arabic only.

A branch of the Nile Nubians, closest to the Sukkot and Halfawi (Fadicca) who share Nobiin; distinct from the Danagla and the Kenzi. Divided into the northern Mahas of the Third Cataract and the Arabized Mahas of the Khartoum area.
About Mahas People
The Mahas are Nile Nubians, the people of the Third Cataract in northern Sudan, where the river breaks over granite and the farmland narrows to a strip of date palms and bean fields between rock and desert. Their villages line both banks and the river islands, roughly from the cataract at Tombos north past Kajbar and Delgo, with the Sukkot, their closest kin, downstream and the Danagla of Dongola upstream. What marks a Mahas out, to other Sudanese and to each other, is the language: Nobiin, the direct descendant of the Old Nubian written in the medieval Christian kingdoms of this same valley. It belongs to the Nubian branch of the Nilo-Saharan family and has nothing to do with Arabic, which nearly everyone also speaks. The Danagla next door speak a different Nubian language, Andaandi, and the two are not mutually intelligible.
The Mahas have been Muslim for roughly five centuries, Sunni with a strong Sufi coloring, and they took to religious scholarship early. There is a second Mahas population far to the south, around the meeting of the Blue and White Niles, settled there since about the sixteenth century: on Tuti Island, at Burri, at Aylafun. These Mahas gave up Nobiin generations ago and speak only Arabic, but they kept the name, and they produced a striking number of the holy men of the Funj period. A Mahas teacher from Tuti, Arbab al-Aqaid, opened a Quran school on the south bank in 1691, generally counted as the first settlement at what became Khartoum. Many Mahas lineages claim descent from the Khazraj of Medina, a pedigree that sits without apparent strain beside a language older than Islam in the valley.
In the north this was long frontier country: Ottoman garrisons sat on Sai Island downstream, the Funj sultans claimed the river above, and the Mahas kept petty kings of their own at Kokka. Life since has been shaped by leaving and returning. The land cannot feed everyone, so for generations men have gone to Khartoum, Egypt and the Gulf for work and sent money home to households run by the women. In 1964 the Mahas watched their Halfawi neighbors lose their villages to the Aswan High Dam reservoir. When Khartoum proposed another dam at Kajbar, in the middle of Mahas territory, they organized, and in June 2007 security forces shot four protesters dead. The dam has not been built. That fight, along with Nobiin classes and renewed interest in the Old Nubian alphabet, has made the Mahas more deliberate about being Nubian than they were a generation ago.

Mahas Body & Anatomy Reference
Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan phenotype: anatomy reference for AI nude generation
Mahas Boobs & Breasts
Mahas boobs follow the Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan profile: medium-to-large cup, full, moderate projection. Areolar diameter is usually 30-44mm, and the coloring is medium-brown to dark-brown areolar pigmentation against the olive-to-light-brown skin tone. Breast shape tracks body composition (mesomorph with fuller hip-and-bust deposition, mean adult female BMI 24-28), so Mahas breasts tend to be fuller and softer than the Cushitic East African norm. Expect a forward-set shape, not the smaller East Asian bust profile.
Mahas Ass & Hips
Mahas ass and hip morphology presents as medium-to-full, moderate projection, broader hip profile, distinctly different from the slim narrow-hip Cushitic East African profile. The Mahas pelvic profile shows medium-to-wide iliac crests, fuller gluteal-femoral fat distribution, anchored in the Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan skeletal pattern. Mahas butt shots in adult AI imagery should render the medium-to-full, moderate projection, broader hip profile silhouette with the overall build (mesomorph with fuller hip-and-bust deposition) and the fat distribution typical of the Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan phenotype.
Mahas Vagina & Pussy
Mahas pussy anatomy typically shows medium-brown to dark-brown labial pigmentation, fuller labia minora. Pubic hair is usually wavy-to-coiled medium-coarse texture, dense distribution. In AI-generated Mahas nudes, labial color should blend into the olive to medium-brown skin with a gradual transition, and the hair should keep its wavy-to-coiled medium-coarse texture.
Mahas Dicks & Penis
Penis reference for Mahas men: regional mean ~13-14cm erect, moderate girth. Coloring: medium-brown shaft pigmentation. An accurate Mahas cock in AI imagery matches the surrounding olive to medium-brown skin rather than a generic porn default. Circumcision depends on religion and custom, not ancestry.
Mahas Body, Curves & Build
The Mahas figure is generally mesomorph with fuller hip-and-bust deposition, with mean adult female BMI 24-28, characteristic of Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan ancestry. AI image tools tend to flatten regional body types into a few stock shapes; here the Mahas build is kept as its own reference.
Mahas Skin Tone & Hair Texture
Skin: olive to medium-brown (Fitzpatrick III-V). Hair: wavy-to-curly 2B-3C, often dark-brown to black. Both are typical of Berber / Mediterranean-Saharan ancestry. The most common mistake in AI nudes of Mahas women is a body rendered lighter than the face.
