About Ebrié People
Few peoples have had a metropolis grow over them as completely as the Ebrié. Abidjan, the economic center of Côte d'Ivoire and a city of several million, was built on their lagoon shore. Ebrié villages such as Anono, Blockhauss and Anoumabo still sit inside it, boxed in by highways and towers, and they still keep their own chiefs and their own calendar of ceremonies. The people call themselves Tchaman. Ebrié is the outside name, and it is also the name of the lagoon they fish. A much repeated local story even explains the city's name: a European newcomer asked an old man what the place was called, and the man thought he was being asked what he was doing. He answered in his own language that he had just cut leaves.
The change came fast. The French made Bingerville their colonial capital in 1900 and moved the capital to Abidjan in the 1930s. In 1950 the Vridi Canal opened the lagoon to ocean shipping. Each step took Ebrié land, and fights over compensation and customary ownership are still live political issues in the city.
Ebrié is a tonal Kwa language. It is usually grouped with neighboring Mbatto, and more loosely with the other lagoon languages of the coast, such as Attié, Abouré and Adioukrou, which are related but not mutually intelligible. In the city, French and Nouchi, Abidjan's street slang, carry most everyday talk. Village life turns on a generation system that other lagoon peoples share in outline. Men are sorted into named classes, among them Blessoué, Dougbo, Gnando and Tchagba. Responsibility for village affairs passes from one class to the next in handover ceremonies that bring out the whole community.
Most Tchaman are Christian, and their Christianity has a local stamp. The Liberian prophet William Wadé Harris preached along this coast in 1913 and 1914. He told people to burn their fetishes and baptized them by the thousands, and the Harrist Church he inspired is still strong among the lagoon peoples. At Bregbo, near Bingerville, the Ebrié prophet Albert Atcho led a Harrist healing community built on public confession, and in the mid twentieth century it drew visitors from across the country. Catholic and Methodist churches are also well established. At the table, lagoon fish and attiéké, the fermented cassava couscous of the southern coast, anchor village cooking.

Ebrié Boobs & Breasts
The typical Ebrié bust is medium-to-large cup, full, projecting, in line with the wider West African Niger-Congo pattern. Areolas usually fall in the 35-50mm range, with deep-brown to near-black areolar pigmentation against the medium-to-deep-brown skin tone. Compared with the smaller conical Cushitic East African profile, Ebrié breasts sit forward and are generally fuller and more projecting than the East African norm. A faithful AI render of Ebrié tits keeps that shape and areola size.
Ebrié Ass & Hips
Butt shape among Ebrié women: wide-set, full, heavily projected glutes, over wide iliac crests, broad gynoid pelvic pattern, high glute-to-waist ratio. This follows West African Niger-Congo ancestry and looks quite unlike the slim narrow-hip Cushitic East African profile. An accurate Ebrié ass in adult AI imagery keeps both the silhouette and the overall build (mesomorph with strong gluteal-femoral fat distribution) instead of a generic average.
Ebrié Vagina & Pussy
Vulvar anatomy among Ebrié women: deep-brown to near-black labial pigmentation, fuller labia minora. Pubic hair tends to be tightly-coiled coarse texture, densely distributed, in the usual inverted-triangle pattern. Both follow West African Niger-Congo pigmentation, which is why Ebrié pussy renders should not fall back on a pale, sparse Western template.
Ebrié Dicks & Penis
The Ebrié cock profile, from West African Niger-Congo anthropometric data: regional mean ~14-15cm erect; above-average girth, ~13cm circumference; deep-brown-to-near-black shaft pigmentation. Pubic hair has a tightly-coiled coarse texture and forms the usual inverted-V pattern. Whether Ebrié men are circumcised follows religious and cultural practice rather than phenotype.
Ebrié Body, Curves & Build
Build and curves among Ebrié women follow the West African Niger-Congo pattern: mesomorph with strong gluteal-femoral fat distribution, mean adult female BMI 24-27. Proportions matter as much as skin tone, so Ebrié figures should keep their regional height and limb ratios.
Ebrié Skin Tone & Hair Texture
The Ebrié skin range is medium-brown to deep-brown (Fitzpatrick V-VI), and hair tends to be tight 4A-4C coil, often worn natural, braided, or relaxed. That combination marks the West African Niger-Congo phenotype, and skin tone is the trait AI generators most often get wrong for Ebrié women.
