Upper Đà River valley in Lai Châu Province, northwestern Vietnam, around Mường Tè, Nậm Nhùn and Sìn Hồ; a small related community lives in Jinping County, Yunnan, China.
Mang (Austroasiatic, Mangic branch); many also speak Thái (Tai-Kadai) and Vietnamese (Austroasiatic).
Ancestor veneration and animist spirit beliefs centered on household and village rites.
Local names include Mảng Ư and Xá Lá Vàng; the language forms the Mangic branch of Austroasiatic together with Bolyu; in China the Mang are officially counted within the Blang.
About Mảng People
The Mảng are one of the smallest peoples on Vietnam's official list of 54 ethnic groups. They number a few thousand people, living in upland villages along the upper Đà River in Lai Châu Province, close to the Chinese border. Their language sets them apart more than their numbers do. Mang is an Austroasiatic language and a distant cousin of Vietnamese and Khmer, but it sits on a small branch of its own, usually called Mangic. Its nearest relative is Bolyu, spoken hundreds of kilometers away in Guangxi. Tai languages have long been the common tongue in these hills, yet the Mảng kept a language that none of their neighbors speak.
Living so long beside Tai communities left its mark. Neighbors and older records have called them Xá, a Tai-derived term used for several small Austroasiatic-speaking groups in the northwest, and official listings still give the names Mảng Ư and Xá Lá Vàng. Many Mảng speak Thái as well as Vietnamese, and their clothing and village life show a long history of close contact with Thái villages. The pull toward those larger languages is now the main pressure on Mang itself.
For generations the Mảng practiced shifting cultivation. They cleared hill fields for rice, maize and cassava, added to the harvest by fishing, hunting and gathering in the forest, and moved their villages when the land wore out. Resettlement campaigns in the second half of the twentieth century pushed them into fixed villages, and hydropower reservoirs on the Đà have since reshaped the valleys where they live. Many Mảng communities are poor, and the Mảng are one of sixteen very small minorities chosen for targeted state development support.
Belief centers on the household and the village. Families honor their ancestors at home, and spirits of the land, water and forest have to be reckoned with in farming, sickness and misfortune. The custom outsiders tend to remember is chin tattooing. Mảng girls were traditionally tattooed around the chin as they came of age, a sign of adulthood still visible on older women, though young people have mostly stopped doing it. Across the border, a Mang-speaking community in Jinping County, Yunnan, was made part of China's Blang nationality in 2009, so one people now lives under two official identities.

Mảng Body & Anatomy Reference
Per-feature anatomical profile for AI nude generation — Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype
Mảng Boobs & Breasts
Mảng tits and boobs run small-to-medium cup, modest projection — the classic Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic bust profile. Mảng nipples and areolas show medium-brown to dark-brown areolar pigmentation against the tan-to-medium-brown skin tone, with areolar diameter typically in the 26-38mm range and forward-set positioning rather than the the fuller South Asian or Polynesian bust. Mảng breasts trend firm, modest projection, a function of the ectomorph, petite frame body habitus and the mean adult female BMI 20-23. For anatomically-accurate AI-generated Mảng nudes the render preserves: small-to-medium cup, modest projection shape, 26-38mm areolas with medium-brown to dark-brown pigmentation, and the torso proportions of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype.
Mảng Ass & Hips
Mảng ass and hip morphology presents as small-to-medium, modest projection, narrower hip profile — distinctly different from the fuller glutes of the Pacific Islander phenotype. The Mảng pelvic profile shows narrow-to-medium iliac crests, anchored in the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic skeletal pattern. Mảng butt shots in adult AI imagery should render the small-to-medium, modest projection, narrower hip profile silhouette with the ectomorph, petite frame build and the gluteal-femoral fat distribution typical of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype rather than defaulting to a globally-averaged "ethnic" butt that generic AI generators produce. The hip-to-waist ratio characteristic of Mảng women is one of the identifying features of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic regional phenotype.
Mảng Vagina & Pussy
Mảng pussy and vulvar anatomy presents medium-brown to dark-brown labial pigmentation — consistent with the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype's pigmentation pattern. Mảng pubic hair is typically straight-to-wavy fine-to-medium texture, distributed in the inverted-triangle pattern with regional-typical density. AI-generated Mảng nude imagery should preserve the medium-brown to dark-brown labial pigmentation and the straight-to-wavy fine-to-medium texture hair texture rather than defaulting to a Western-European pink-and-sparse template. For anatomically-accurate Mảng pussy renders the labial pigmentation and coloration should match the surrounding tan to medium-brown skin tone of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype, with continuous gradient rather than an abrupt color transition.
Mảng Dicks & Penis
Mảng dick and penile anatomy in adult AI generation should anchor on the regional reference data: regional mean ~11cm erect, moderate girth, and medium-brown shaft pigmentation. The Mảng cock profile reflects the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic ancestral population's anthropometric measurements rather than a globally-averaged Western-pornography default. For anatomically-accurate Mảng nude male imagery the shaft pigmentation should track the surrounding tan to medium-brown skin tone, the glans-to-shaft pigmentation transition should be continuous, and the pubic hair pattern should match straight-to-wavy fine-to-medium texture texture distributed in the typical inverted-V escutcheon. Circumcision status in Mảng populations varies by religious-cultural tradition rather than ancestral phenotype.
Mảng Body, Curves & Build
Mảng body type and overall build presents as ectomorph, petite frame, with mean adult female BMI 20-23 — the characteristic Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic habitus. Mảng curves and proportions in adult AI imagery should preserve the regional skeletal frame (height, shoulder-to-hip ratio, limb proportions) rather than scaling to a Western-European mesomorph default. The Mảng nude female form, when rendered with anatomical fidelity, shows the height range, frame width, and adipose distribution pattern typical of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype. Generic AI image generators tend to collapse regional body types into a few default shapes; the EthnicErotic phenotype-anchored approach preserves the Mảng build as its own reference category.
Mảng Skin Tone & Hair Texture
Mảng skin tone falls in the tan to medium-brown (Fitzpatrick III-V) band — the surface signal most often miscalibrated by generic AI nude generators trained on Western-photographic datasets. Mảng hair texture is typically straight-to-wavy 1A-2A, dark-brown to black, characteristic of the Southeast Asian Austronesian / Austroasiatic phenotype. For anatomically-accurate Mảng nude renders the skin should hold the Fitzpatrick band consistently across body surface rather than showing the lighter-than-face body shading that AI generators default to. Mảng hair pigmentation and texture on body, pubic, and head should match across the figure rather than mixing textures (a common AI artefact).
