About San Chay People
The San Chay are two communities that ended up in the same valleys by different routes. Officially they are one of Vietnam's 54 recognized ethnic groups, with about 201,000 people at the 2019 census. The name covers two branches, the Cao Lan and the Sán Chỉ.
