Asian Panamanians comprise approximately 4% of the Panamanian population per the 2010 INEC census — the largest Asian community share in any Central American country. The Chinese-Panamanian community is by far the largest sub-component, with approximately 130,000+ self-identified Chinese-Panamanians plus a much larger broader Chinese-descended population (some estimates place the total at 200,000+ when including admixed populations).
