About Asian Bahamian People

Asian Bahamians comprise approximately 0.5% of the Bahamas population per the 2010 Department of Statistics census. The Chinese-Bahamian community is the largest, concentrated in Nassau retail and food-service sectors. The Filipino-Bahamian community is substantial as a labor-migration population (concentrated in healthcare, hospitality, and domestic-service sectors). Smaller Indo-Bahamian, Japanese-Bahamian, and other Asian populations exist.
