Common camera framing
Description: The two bodies lie across each other rather than along each other, meeting at the hips at roughly a right angle with the legs crossed between. Seen from above the pair form an X, which is the whole reason for the name.
Variations: The crossing angle can open toward parallel or close toward perpendicular, and either partner can be the one lying flat.
On camera: The only position in this family that genuinely needs an overhead shot. In profile the crossing disappears entirely and it looks like a side-lying position.
AI design considerations: Two figures whose long axes cross near the pelvis at a wide angle. The crossing angle must be clearly non-zero, since near-parallel figures collapse the shape.
