On September 16, 238 body-feature pages were published across 120 peoples. They sit beside the measured trait pages, under each people's own address.
Each page is tied to its own region's profile. The catalog holds regional anatomical profiles, and a body-feature page renders the profile for its people's homeland region, with a provenance block that names that source. Pages exist wherever the homeland region carries a profile of its own.
Each page is a structured view of regional data the catalog holds. Because every page renders from the shared regional profile, an update to a region reaches every page that draws on it.
Under the hood
- One resolver decides whether a page exists. The page itself, the link on the people's page and the links on country pages all ask the same function, so they cannot disagree about which pages are real.
- The resolver checks whether the people is in the cohort and whether the people's homeland region has a profile of its own. Every page renders from a region's own profile, never from shared default text.
- Body-feature pages share a URL segment with the measured trait pages but never load portrait data. Each of the two body families renders three descriptors from the regional profile, in a set order.
- Historical peoples are excluded automatically, read from the historical cohort lists, because a living-anatomy page does not describe a people of the past. Alternate spellings and numeric IDs resolve to the one page for that people.
