On March 3 every people's page gained its own live message board. Members post, reply and delete right on the page, beside the portrait and profile they are talking about.
Two days later came profile photos and public member profiles built from each member's board activity. On March 9 the boards became threaded, with likes and a notification bell that tells authors when someone replies to or likes their post.
On March 13 the boards came together as one community feed. Every active board across the catalog now sits in a single stream, each showing its latest post and post count, and the stream can be sorted, filtered by region and searched.
Under the hood
- Each board is attached to the people's page it discusses, so a conversation lives next to its subject instead of in a separate forum.
- Replies nest under their parent with expand and collapse, and likes toggle on and off with a count.
- Replies and likes generate notifications for the post's author, surfaced in a header bell with an unread badge and a mark-all-read action.
- Public profiles draw their activity from the boards, and the member dashboard shows every post with its people, region and image.
- The feed sorts by recent or popular, filters by region and searches, all in the browser without a page reload.
